October 26, 2 pm, location TBA
The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe

December 7, 2 pm, location TBA

Note: We'll have Thanksgiving Break to get into the book, but if that's not enough, we'll use the December meeting to discuss what we've read so far and plan the spring semester, and then finish it over Christmas break and discuss it in January. :)

Student Involvement Fair

We had a wonderful time at the Student Involvement Fair on Wednesday!  We're so excited to say that we now have well over 10 members, and will be working to become a recognized club on campus as soon as possible.

Meeting the First

The Jane Austen Literary Society is holding its preliminary meeting on  Tuesday, August 20 at 7 pm  in the Reading Room/Student Lounge (Liberal Arts building, room 244).  This meeting will be an open session for meeting one another, learning more about our plans for the club, sharing any ideas you may have, and enjoying some tea and scones.   The goal is to get enough people signed up so the club can be officially recognized with Student Involvement as soon as possible, so your attendance would be much appreciated! Please bring friends and share this with anyone you may know who likes Jane Austen, English Literature, and/or nerdy British stuff.  (Note: all majors are welcome!!)

Jane Austen Ball: September 2019

On September 27, members of the Jane Austen Literary Society and friends attended a Jane Austen-themed ball held at the Idaho Falls Public Library.  We had a grand time, and look forward to hosting a ball of our own (possibly next semester)!
