The Jane Austen Book Club is a subdivision of The Jane Austen Society of ISU, and is open to the public. We meet once a month to discuss a book either written by, about, inspired by, or somehow connected to Jane Austen. Meeting times and books for the rest of this year are below. Please join us!
September 28, 2 pm, ISU Library Study Room 1D
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
October 26, 2 pm, location TBA
The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe
(From the category "Books Jane Austen Read")
November 16, time and location TBA
Jane and the Canterbury Tale by Stephanie Barron
(From the category "Inspired by Jane Austen")
December 7, 2 pm, location TBA
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
(From the category "Books Following Jane Austen's Literary Legacy")
Note: We'll have Thanksgiving Break to get into the book, but if that's not enough, we'll use the December meeting to discuss what we've read so far and plan the spring semester, and then finish it over Christmas break and discuss it in January. :)
